After a summer break, the school year has begun and the Seven Lakes Robotics Club has gained numerous members. Following the first meeting with new members, the plan for the first semester has been laid out. Safety training is to occur every Thursday and Saturday through signups, which should then be followed by training for various aspects of building robots. Of course one can not forget the Outreach events to occur throughout the year. Don't forget you safety glasses and have fun around the club! New members are required to show the ability to work two of our machines in order to complete their safety training.
Most of you all who are joining us in the 2017-2018 school year, welcome to the team! Whether you are an incoming freshmen looking for some clubs, sophomore, or upperclassman, know that the Seven Lakes Robotics Team is glad that you have decided to join us. At first, it may seem like a lot, but over time you will learn to love it here and help out the team anyway you are able. Maybe you'll choose to help out on the Build team with the programming, CAD, electrical, or mechanical teams, know that mentors and other students are willing to help. Alternatively, anyone is welcome to help out with any Outreach activities that occur throughout the year. Good luck, and have fun!
