In collaboration with iEducate USA, the Seven Lakes High School Robotics club is seeking to build an innovative, inspirational, and sustainable program to inspire hundreds of kids to pursue a rigorous STEM education. The main objective is to spark a love of science in young kids from backgrounds typically economically and ethnically underrepresented in STEM fields. The curriculum includes:
The Workshops allow the kids to be exposed to experiential learning of engineering concepts in an interactive, self-paced, goal-oriented format. The kids learn from older kids to foster role model relationships. We have been at the following Elementary Schools around the Houston area between June 5th and June 22nd this year:

Saturday, May 13th, a group of girl scouts came to the Robert Shaw Center and had the opportunity to do some fun science experiments. From a balloon and static electricity to the creation of "dinosaur snot," the girls scouts learned a lot. It all ended with a demonstration of the robots built the last two years, which was, without a doubt, the best part. later that day. See pictures here.
