The SLHS Robotics team, the RoboSpartans, are hosting a 3 day CAD camp for for incoming 6th - 9th graders who are interested in learning about Computer Aided Design, which is a software which can be used to design anything from complex robots, automobiles, furniture, homes, and much more. This camp will provide the basics and a solid foundation of CAD for students who are interested. The SLHS Robotics team, the RoboSpartans, are hosting a 5 day online Java camp for incoming 6th graders to 9th graders to learn entry level Java skills which will prepare anyone for their future Java learning journey with our numerous online activities. This camp is great for students who are planning on taking APCSA (ap computer science A) in high school, or students who are looking to start Java at a young age. Additionally, we are also hosting a 5 day online Web Development camp for incoming 6th graders to 9th graders to learn entry level web development skills through our various online activities. Both camps are great for students looking to develop early computer science knowledge and get a head start on their high school computer science endeavors. This July 8th-11th the SLHS Robotics Team is hosting a fun and engaging camp for incoming 3rd-6th graders using Lego EV3 Mindstorm kits! This camp is excellent for anyone looking to join FIRST Lego League teams in middle school, which are a great gateway to high school robotics teams just like ours, or for anyone looking to start their kid’s STEM journey with an easy to follow along and a nourishing summer camp!
